PLAN YOUR STORE

A beauty and lifestyle store, with room to discover

MUMUSO brings beauty and personal care together with gifts, accessories and everyday household products. For a prospective operator, the useful question is how that mix would work in a particular store and market.

Understand the retail format

This is a product retail concept. The global MUMUSO collection spans beauty and personal care, household products, stationery, bags, accessories, toys and other everyday categories. The product catalogue shows examples to help you understand the brand.

A proposed US store does not automatically carry every item shown online. The local assortment, launch range, pricing and replenishment arrangements need to be confirmed for the project. Keep global inspiration separate from a confirmed opening order.

Plan categories around the space

Questions to review with the team
TopicWhat to review
Beauty and personal careDiscuss the approved range, shelf presentation, labeling, stock handling and any expiry-sensitive items.
Gifts, toys and accessoriesConsider how customers will browse, compare designs and find product-specific age or use information.
Home and everyday essentialsDiscuss usable display space, product dimensions and how items are grouped for easy navigation.
Seasonal collectionsAsk how launch timing, seasonal availability and replenishment affect an initial selection.

Ask practical questions about supply

Before treating a product image as part of your opening plan, ask for the proposed assortment and its item references. Clarify pack sizes, ordering arrangements, delivery timing and who is responsible for each stage.

Replenishment deserves a separate conversation from opening inventory. Ask how orders are placed, how availability is communicated, what happens when an item is unavailable and how damaged or incorrect deliveries are handled. These are questions for the project discussion, not promises of a particular service.

Think through an ordinary trading day

  • Who opens, closes and supervises the store?
  • How will staff receive deliveries and record stock differences?
  • Where will reserve stock be kept without obstructing the sales floor?
  • How will displays and product information stay tidy and accurate?
  • Who handles customer questions, returns and escalation to the team?
  • How will managers review stock availability and plan the next order?

Build the investment discussion around the operation

A useful proposal connects the location, product range and team. Fit-out, opening stock and staffing needs will differ with the premises and operating plan. Review the cost areas on the franchise page and request project-specific terms rather than applying another country’s published figures to a US store.

The annual US royalty is US$20,000 for marketing support, franchisee training and ongoing operational guidance, separate from initial stock and store setup investment. The franchise overview explains these costs. The global brand manual introduces the brand; it is not a US Franchise Disclosure Document. Relevant documents and any proposed agreement need separate review.

What to send with your first inquiry

Describe your city and state, retail experience, preferred store setting and whether you intend to operate the business yourself or through a team. Mention the categories that interest you and your planning stage.

The first form is for a non-binding conversation. You can ask about one store or a broader proposal without claiming a territory or committing to an opening. The team can then identify the information needed for the next discussion.
